Marsh Field Scented Candle

Before the Union Stock Yards, our neighborhood looked very different. Built in 1864 on marshland south of the city, the Union Stock Yards was designed to consolidate Chicago’s meat processing operations into one centralized area. This marshland was transformed into a bustling industrial hub, giving rise to the “Town of Lake,” as it was known back then- a name it will retain until 1939.

Our collaboration scented candle captures the essence of this rich history and embodies the spirit of the Back of the Yards community. Just as the neighborhood evolved, our candle brings together past and present, connecting us to our roots and celebrating the resilience of our community.
